Keeping It In Perspective

Postby JoeKidd » Mon Jul 14, 2014 1:52 am

While reading the ESPN Article on Players to Root for from each Conference (Of course no love for the AAC) I watched this video on the player from Clemson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8_LioPzI1o

Truly inspirational and reminded me of what really matters in Sports and Life.

How many student-athletics are there with a Purple Heart? Not many, if any. Thanks for sharing, Joe.

Wow, that choked me up ... all the best to that young man .... and certainly Gods grace to all the men/women who wear, or who have worn the uniform of US Military and their families.

Not at this level, but SMU had a walk-on 3-4 years ago Jesse Andrew (players called him Sarge), I believe he did a couple of tours in Afghanistan. JJ petitioned and tried to get him an additional year of eligibility, but the NCAA said no. . Real nice guy ... wife and young child also. Played DL.
