Game TimesPlease correct me if I'm wrong, but prior to all the games being on TV did none of the games get an official time prior to the week or two weeks before? I just checked out UT football and noticed that the majority of games in Austin already have a time for them (4 /6 ) and half of the A&M games have times also. Good Lord Look at UNT (8/ 12) have times. Is this because we're not Big Shots and we don't sway the networks? Or is this more with Rick/ and June, yanking us around?
Re: Game TimesId assume that the majority will be 11 am games.
Re: Game TimesIn fact hardly any Big 12 games have Game Times except for early season matchups. UT is slightly different because of Thanksgiving Game but even Texas/OU is TBA. TV and game times are controlled by the home team networks in most every conference. Game times are usually announced about 10-12 days before game to get best matchups

Re: Game TimesStallion is right. The only game times that are set would be for games guanteed to have NO tv coverage. If there is tv coverage in the Big 12, as with our conference, you don't know the game time in advance until the networks pick which game they want at which times. If a schedule currently shows a time, 1 of 3 things is true (1) it is just a placeholder and subject to change, (2) it is not going to be on tv, or (3) possibly, that because some of UT's games will be on its own Longhorn network, it already set the preferred time for those games and won't change it. But that is an exception.
Re: Game Timesexcept that UT is guaranteed 1 conference game for Longhorn Network and that game has been assigned to LHN and game time set

Re: Game TimesI really hope A&M and TCU are night games, or at least 2:30 kickoffs. I wonder what station they'll be on? I could see A&M being an ESPN2 broadcast. ESPNU for TCU?

Does the home team network affiliate decide which network broadcast or not? GO MUSTANGS!
Re: Game Times
I think that's right, so the AAC's deal with ESPN would control here 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: Game TimesI realize its business, but it would be great to have more than a week or so to plan for the game.

I think they usually give around 10 days or two weeks notice 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: Game TimesThey give just less than the time needed for the best air fares.

Re: Game Times
You can plan right now to come in the night before and leave the day after and guarantee that you won't miss kickoff or the end of the game, whether kick is at 11 am or 7 pm.
