at Baylor- hang around for the first half, cover, and Burcham isn't awful. LOSS 49-21
at UNT- we're the better team, and we play like it in Denton. WIN 28-17
vs A&M- SEC speed, too much depth. Not a disaster like 2012, though. LOSS 42-20
vs TCU- their QB play is in shambles, and our defense steps up WIN 21-13
at ECU- June does his thing on the road in conference play LOSS 31-17
vs Cincy- Kiel and Cincy can't get up for an 11am kickoff in front of 15k. WIN 30-24
vs Memphis- Riding high off the Cincy win, Ponies eek out a must-win WIN 24-21
at Tulsa- a rare conference road WIN 34-17
vs USF- Ponies show out on homecoming weekend against young USF squad WIN 38-24
at UCF- predictable conference road showing vs. a solid team LOSS 31-10
vs UH- Ponies don't have the weapons to match O'korn and company LOSS 35-20
at Uconn- We hand the Huskies their tenth loss of the season WIN 34-14
-------------------
7-5, Armed Forces Bowl vs. Iowa State- WIN 34-30

Expectations are high for 2015 with Burcham, the entire OL, and all WRs except Der'Rikk and Nelson returning plus a solid recruiting class with Kearns, Proche, Scott twins.

I'm going to bed now.

ECM, I can see this and wins matched my predictions as well (I think all but one).

TCU game is a stretch, but otherwise probably not too far off. Cincinnati is also probably optimistic. I say 5-7 and we are coach searching in earnest.

ECM these predictions are really close to mine. I think we can beat ECU though...June has never lost to them even with worse SMU teams

5 - 7, but I think there is upside to turn an upset against Cincy, TCU, Houston, UCF.

The program is set up to be really good in 2015.

ECM - I hope you are right. I am on the same page, and think it could be anywhere in between where you are and Jason.
I don't get why so many seem to think Cincy is much better than us.
We played them about even up there, and i think we will be better than last year by then IF we get good QB play.
What is pretty interesting is how different Cincy's schedule is than ours - they don't play till Sept. 12, 2 weeks after we start. Before us they are at Ohio State, Memphis (home), and at Miami (Fla).
I assume that means we have 2 more weeks of practice than they do, isn't how that works? You can practice til a certain amount of days before your first game?

Every year about this time I read PonyFans and start getting optimistic about the upcoming season. Not this year. 5-7 seems optimistic to me. I'm at 4-8, maybe. If we catch a few breaks. Probably over optimistic again.

I do think there are some nice young pieces on this team. We might be a pretty salty bunch in 2015.

I agree, I am looking forward to 2015. I think the team is young this year and the learning curve will be high. I am worried about how the team will respond if we get crushed by Baylor, Aggies and TCU. I think 4-8 is more realistic but who knows. The team could surprise us.....

Woahhhhhhh, look at this guy being a realist and such. Props.

I could see 5-7 or 4-8. There is one thing that is always true of June Jones teams, they can't win on the road to save their lives, and they suck against anyone with a winning record in the FBS (6-31).

If we're 4-7 going into that last game at Uconn, I just wonder how motivated they'll be in the freezing northeast, against a crap team, in a game that no one is watching, with nothing to play for. They may even be 3-7 at that point if USF beats us which is entirely possible, since i expect them to be much better than that pile of garbage they were last year.
