There are plenty of up and coming coaches that are looking for a place to build from.

I'm ok with being that place in the short term, mostly because this is the window to win to better our long-term situation, but also so that we don't end up with someone that is just looking for a check like JJ in 2007.

There are a lot of up-and-coming high profile asst. coaches (ala Chad Morris) that would be good hires.
We just need to be sure they can hire good assts. that can/will recruit Tx.
I believe that our next hire will really define the direction and future of SMU fball.

Nobody really was close on actual score probably because most thought SMU would get more than 65 yards or that Baylor would overthrow 5 receivers running wide open in secondary on bombs. SMU got real lucky it wasn't a whole lot worse. I think that stadium has some tricky wind patterns that threw Petty and other QBs off-

I actually went to the game so I wasn't fully informed of his injury until after the game-watching replay right now and that back injury could be true-still doesn't bode well for our secondary that we let at least 6 guys run free in our secondary on bombs
