i think you will get the official word around Nov - until they just enjoy some beer on the BLVD and call this season a tread water kind of deal.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there isn't a lot of talent especially at OL that will be available for a new coach to right this program right away. It will probably be another 3-4 years depending on how good a new head coach is. If JJ is allowed to finish out a new contract, it might be a decade but by then we will probably be Division III.

Yep, June has driven our talent level into the ground. Bottom 25 in FBS.

The realistic goal for any coach should be to win his conference.

We can win the AAC with the right coach. No question.

And we can win it within 2 -3 years of his arrival.

I'll write a check for $50k tomorrow. 3rd worst coaching job I've ever seen. I still say we make a bowl game, but I would rather go 3-9 for the next 3 years than have to sit through another shutout.

You would rather go 3-9 for 3 straight years than to endure a shutout on the way to a bowl game? Really? Um. OK.

Sorry, we did that for 20+ years already. No thanks.

Don't want to over react to one lop sided loss to a great program but if you are not getting better then you are getting worse because everyone else is trying to get better. Although some good young freshmen on the roster who will be good in a couple of years, the poor recruiting efforts in Texas are now catching up with SMU. The offensive guru tag is just a myth and has been for several years. Feel bad for the boys and the defensive coaches. The Mean Green is going to be up for this game so SMU had better get over it fast and forget about June's attitude of "stealing one on the road."
