Petty Injury

Postby Pony81 » Sun Aug 31, 2014 11:31 pm

I know Briles has a reputation for running up the score but I was surprised to see him leave Petty in the game when he was in obvious pain on the sideline and the BU defense was making our offense look like a bunch of 7th graders.

Petty looks like he sustained a hip injury which can be problematic and really decrease mobility.

Short term fun of a complete [deleted] kicking but could be a long term mistake.

that was a really dumb move. Should have pulled him much sooner.

In the second quarter I saw Briles asking Petty if he wanted to sit but Petty keep waving him off.

I hope the kid recovers and it isn't serious. Otherwise, who gives a rat's rear end about Baylor's QB?

Actually, I think it's poetic justice if Briles gets bit by keeping him in too long and aggravating the injury.
That's why I care. Hip pointers are like turf toe. They are painful and reduce mobility.

Actually, turf toe can be 'cured' for a couple of hours with chemistry. Take it from experience. No pain for a while and plenty of mobility.

Ponyte had accelerator foot turf toe on some of our drives to Dallas. He would shoot up his toe and could drive just fine
