Be careful for what you wish for. Yesterday every early arriving fan to the Baylor game were desperately seeking shade under those new saplings planted around their stadium. I love the shade-maybe some strategic pruning would be best-or we could roll out the astro-turf?

And plant St Augustine instead, which is better at handling foot traffic and also does better in shaded areas.

Grass doesn't grow under heavily shaded areas You wanna pay for sprinkler systems, and
major league arborist control of the trees for grass to grow

They were planted in 60's/70's, no?

the trees were there in 1968. maybe 1/2 the size they are now. trees are beautiful and enhance the campus.
