Are we seeing the effect of Hart or Mason?

I think Mason is pulling out all the stops trying to get hired as the SMU HC. I guess I would too. He knows Rossley is popular with some SMU people. Some poster on Rivals has started about 3 thread trying to pub up Mason for head coach.

Doesn't this eliminate the thought on ponyfans that Mason is going to buy a pistol play book off ebay and have the staff implement it in 2 weeks?

So long run and shoot yourself in the foot! Another good move by Mason, and a good sign the higher ups are willing to spend to help turn around the season. We still need a special teams coach.

I don't get it. Rossley didn't produce as a HC yet folks love him. He left here one step ahead of the NCAA for allegations that could have really hurt us. Yet, a guy with a proven record like Nutt and no NCAA allegations gets dissed routinely.

I wasn't a fan of Rossley and have reservations about recycling a guy without a proven HC record. This hire is just too important than to take a second chance on a guy.

rossley had both hands and feet tied behind his back. the team couldn't even practice together due to class schedules.
i think he is here as a consultant not to be the next head coach.

Doesn't seem like he is in consideration for the HC by SMU. Seems like the excitement comes from fans having more faith in Rossely than Morrison or any of our current offensive coaches. While some here have touted Rossley for the job, his chances of landing it probably aren't any better then Nutt's.

I think it is good that there is a new message for the offense. We really looked predicable and a fresh face might change that.

I also think people love Rossley cause he was a good SMU man and kind of got shafted when he appeared to be making head way. I wonder if he had gotten the leeway PB and JJ got to make it work how things might have been different.

Rossley knows how to run a pro style offense also.
