Heard it here, first

You heard it here first folks, SMU will NOT go 0-12 this year. Because they are going to beat Univ. of Cincinnati. Do not mistake this for a procolamtion of "turning the season around", or bowl games, or even any kind of major improvement for the Mustangs. SMU has made some progress, but its baby steps. Cincy, meanwhile, is in the middle of a truly ugly downward slide. Cincinnati has lost three in a row, all of them blowouts, and their last win was a skin of their teeth win over Miami of Ohio, former holders of the countries longest losing streak (25 games). I cant list all the things that have gone wrong for the Bearcats, but it includes players suspended, injured (most notably QB Gunner Kiel) and even the death of a player in a motorcycle wreck, and it was capped off last week with the arrest of an assistant coach on sexual abuse charges. The program is in chaos, on and off the field, they desperately need to find a way to sop the slide. Meanwhile, SMU started the season horrendously, but seem to be showing some progress, and had their best offensive showing last week, UC's defense is one of the few in the FBS actually giving up more points than SMU, so the Mustangs should be able to move the ball. SMU is coming off a bye week, and has had more time to rest and prepare. Cincy, meanwhile, has no bye weeks at all this season, because of a scheduling snafu, and they started their season 3 weeks after every other school. Nothing is going right for the Bearcats, and it seems to be getting progressively worse. Thats why I'm willing to go out on a limb and predict our first win of the season.

As I said, I am not predicting any miracle turnarounds, and this is more about Cincy spiraling downward than the progress SMU is making, None the less, when I look at this matchup, I sincerely believe its SMU's game to win or lose.

My bad. There is no limit to overtimes. The record is seven OTs.

This is why I love PF. You can learn so much.

Yeah, something like 60% of the points in that game were scored in overtime.

Cincinnati is playing pretty poorly now. SMU at home can get the victory.

That's right, it was Arkansas' second 7OT game! And in consecutive years they played a 7OT, a 6OT, and a 7OT.
