Sadly you are correct redpony.

Furthermore, he got paid a lot of money to do it.

Nothing like having a coach's or athlete's contract.

Too bad the rest of the world (like us) live by them; but then again - we'd all be broke! LOL!!!
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

We are just 3-5 years away from good fans and ponyfans poster. If we really hold our breath and get lucky then maybe two years. But sadly with such poor leadership we need another 3-5 years.

haha Cincy player that got the muffed punt tried to run the opposite way. If he'd just backed up, he'd have scored

Did the no call pass interference show up on TV. Worst no call I have witnessed in 60 years of watching football.

ok people- I'm outta here. disappointing day, disappointing team and disappointing coaching. This team would struggle against DII teams. Had hoped for more but this isn't what SMU teams should be.

I would expect someone from Arkyland to blame the officials!

OK, I'm listening so have no idea if it was a pass interference of not. But if you whine, it must have been legit.

The defender pulled the jersey off the shoulder pad of the receiver as he turned back for the ball. In the wide open field. Not a game changer obviously but come on officials.

Postby No Quarter » Sat Oct 18, 2014 5:34 pm

I started to post before the half that I was hearing the old refrain: We were in the game until it got out of hand. I stepped away from the computer for a moment before sending it and when I came back and tried, I got got a pop up to the effect that other messages had been posted and did I really want to send mine.

The ponyfans program is pretty smart. I'm just scattershooting now. One thing. I'd say this game sets Mason's career back several years, if such a thing was possible. Another. Tuberville's future may be a little better and that did not seem possible either.

I channel surfed before the half also. Turner Classic Movies was running the 1979 film, The Black Stallion, and the "mystery horse" won a race while I watched. Unfortunately very different than my horses on CBS Sports.

With a quarter remaining almost, this is the shortest football game thread I remember seeing. Maybe that is the best indicator of where this program is today.
