Honest question. If you could dismiss Mason and bring in any unemployed coach at this point, who would it be?

I take it you would not choose a member of the present staff...

You guys are unfricking believable. How much trauma do you want to inflict on this team? Why not fire a coach a week to insure the kids are n constant flux without any bedrock stability. Talk about guarenteed 0-12 season!

I'll take guaranteed 0-12 with some effort over guaranteed 0-12 with performances like this.

How dose anyone in their right mind expect kids to put out great effort if the coaching staff is in constant flux? I really understand the frustration with the coaching situation but I have no idea why folks just want to make the players as miserable as possible and decrease their chances of anything good happen. It isn't their fault our previous coach didn't do the things that need to be done to win.

The status quo is putting these players at the lowest possible chances of anything good happening.

Well at least we are out of the Big 12 SEC games right?

I counter that by asking how you expect kids to play hard when they know that they are ALL expendable when the next coach arrives. These kids should know that every game is a try-out on film for them to keep their spot when the new regime gets to campus. Right now, seems like there is a 3rd string QB, punter, and possible a kicker (doesn't have enough opportunity to know if he is any good this season) and that is it.

Talk about SMU becoming more notorious, all we would have to do is be the first Div. 1 school to fire two coaches in the same season. No one would ever want to coach here if that happened.

Why bother, we are just killing time. How about we let different area high school coaches be our game day play callers each game as a recruiting marketing exercise?

No reason to fire tom mason as we really can't do any Bette. Having said that he is definitely not a legitimate candidate for a HC to take us to the next level.

Please stop acting surprised. We saw this train wreck of a season when we got rolled by NTSU and June bailed. Enjoy the hoops season and the coaching hire, then wait for August 2015 with some renewed hope.

Mason was saying how he was glad to be out of the SEC Big12 games and thought we could beat UC. But we just made a team that was playing badly almost look like an SEC or Big 12 team. Not saying we should fire Mason now but I don't think that he is the one to lead us in the future.
