They are all top 25 qb's.

Actually all of those guys can play both inside and outside the pocket. Davis is the prototype for any QB that has no idea how to play QB (which is why he's the backup to a walk-on).

And barely played at a JUCO last year

He didn't want to sit on the bench with Manziel there and Hill coming in. We are lucky he chose us regardless of his reasons.

I believe he enrolled late and that is why he didn't play a lot but he made a big impression on their coach and teammates.

He went to JUCO after he left Aggy and spent most of the season sitting on the bench behind a NR recruit. Now he's here sitting on the bench behind a NR recruit. Not sure how we're lucky that he chose us.

He and Deion are just about the only players capable of gaining more than 10 yards on any given play.

But the direction of those 10+ yards is just as important as the distance.

Deion gets you nothing-he makes 7 poor decisions for every decent return. Net negative. Just put the Stafford kid in who will get it out near the 25 every time

you need to go back and check how many times he put in the hole Saturday. In fact SMU would be better off this year just letting the ball roll into the end zone than letting Deion make mistake after mistake. The Rules give you 25 yards-you fail if you don't make the 25 plus really its even worse because there are so many fouls on Kickoffs when you attempt to return a kick

Sanders and Davis are both great athletes. They can be productive for us going forward. However, Stallion has made some good observations. Davis needs to find a position that best fits his considerable talent. Sanders needs to mature and learn that ball position is just as important as big plays. Our kick return team has placed us in poor ball position more than good ball position. And it kills an anemic offense to start so deep in its own territory.

This may not be how he sees himself - but what about Davis as a tailback with Line blocking, (or one of our tight ends). We need athletes on the field .

I think not, well not unless he's been playing possum this entire time or he's moving to another position.

Stafford gave us no chance at any decent return. That experiment went no where. Sorry. At least you have a chance with Jr. Last Saturday, the only bad outcomes for kickoff returns were late in the game when sadly absulutely nothing was working for SMU...not just the KO returns.

In defense of Deon, he has been taking the ball out less often except at the end when the game was out of hand.
