I just laughed out loud at the band/student section.

Of course there would be more people on the home side of home game with Cincy! Duh!
And of course some had moved to the shade. But we have small stadium. Look at it!
It is downright embarrassing our crowd on such a pretty day.
I wonder how many Div II teams have better crowds?
People have just checked out for so many reasons.

I assume by D2 you really mean FCS. Last year, to make the top 10 in FCS attendance, you had to have at least 15,814. Tops was App State at 24,894.

Actual D2, the top was Tuskegee with 14,954 in only 3 home games. Next had 10,116 with 9 home games.

And in case you're curious, tops in D3 averaged 7,364.

Another interesting comparison, the MAC as a conference averaged 16,739, the Sun Belt averaged 19,859, and CUSA averaged 21,510.

We are the worst D1 program in America. We've been near the bottom for the better part of 25 years. We play teams most people haven't thought twice about. Let it go. There are a lot of things we need to fix before we need to start worrying about attendance.
