SMU announces Zach Line plays for Carolina Panthers

First...there is no way it isn't a student putting together these productions. By this point, the successful PR evolution ratio is below the Mendoza line. I am not shocked that they were able to put together a good team for LB and the basketball team. I could take the 6 Sailor team from the media department off my last ship and they would absolutely destroy SMU's athletic department PR team with their eyes closed after pulling 5 hours of training and only living on Monsters and ramen noodles.

The truly disgusting aspect of this is the fact that they have a competent group for basketball, and they feel it is acceptable to phone it in for everything else. It is a complete lack of integrity in the program and the school, but more importantly, it is a perfect example of a complete lack of supervisory competence and individual drive. Those in charge don't even care to QA any of their product, let alone take a proactive role in its production and display. The workers obviously don't care about the product they are producing, and feel absolutely no personal connection to that product, or else they would be embarrassed by what they put out on a weekly basis.

And for those who think holding people accountable for a gaffe like this is overkill...keep being apologists for those small aspects of our bush-league operation that combine to show we are the true not-ready-for-primetime players. "Come play at SMU...where there is a very small chance you will make it in the NFL, and we won't care enough to check our facts even if you do." What a sales pitch to recruits and their families.

It did not stop there, They also showed Taylor ROSS playing in Canada and listed Emmanuel Sanders as having several tackles and sacks. Extremely embarrassing to see. Lucky only the 5,000 in the stadium were subjected this horrible display.

Why not take advantage of the jokes and make a sitcom out of this. Bring Hayden Fox out of retirement as the head coach from the "screaming Eagles" to coach at SMU with Luther and Dobber. There are so many great and funny storylines that could be used. Might as well make the most of a pathetic situation and maybe recruits would be attracted to a situation where parents and friends would see them on tv each Tuesday night after Friday Night Tykes.
