89 ponies - 24
14 ponies - 6
No doubt about it.

The 1989 team also played 5 ranked teams that season, two of them in the top ten.

Two weeks into the 89 season, SMU was 1-1 and had already scored 37 points. By the end of October and 7 games, they had won 2 games and had scored 106 points. Meanwhile, after 6 games, the 2014 team has put up a whopping 39 points in 6 games.

Agreed.
Not to pile on, but NCAA says we are last in total defense and next to last in total offense.
I know for a fact that Coach Mason laid into the players at halftime for lack of effort.
Obviously did not help.
Not sure that the guys currently playing understand and/or care that they represent 100+ years worth of alumni.

Even our 2003 winless team were in games. Sure they snapped defeat out of the laws of victory more than once, and had their share of blowouts, but they were right there in the mix about half the time.

That team would shut out this years team.
