Not really. I had a previous username but got rid of it and got this one instead.

Hey, simple Jack, it's not rocket science. New coach, better staff, brighter future.
New coach, better staff, BETTER PLAYERS, brighter future.

Or are you still on the rag about what a terrible school your son is forced into attending?

I think everyone on this board can agree that our next coach will be our "Gary Patterson" and we'll win the Rose Bowl in five years. That's a guarantee.

We can achieve this with several different routes, we could hire:

1. A guy with serious NFL experience (Tom Rossley/June Jones/Forrest Gregg).

2. We could hire a guy who has won at a smaller program (Mike Cavan).

3. We can hire a hot coordinator with outstanding Texas ties (Phil Bennett).

4. Someone who took his team to the Sugar Bowl and has an innovative offense (June Jones).

Don't forget BETTER FANS!

Actually, just for you StallionsModelT, I've decided I'm gonna let him stay now that he's about to get an extra $5,000-$10,000 yearly BONUS, in addition to that 'FREE' ride. 8)
Might want to make sure that the next coach wants him to stay first helicopter.

Several factors that are different in 2014 compared to 1989:

1) Academic standards are now at the minimum for FBS.

2) TCU is in the Big 12

3) DFW and Texas are a bigger deal now.

4) Pye is not the president anymore.

5) We have decent football facilities and an on campus stadium

We can be successful now with the right hire.

Any coach hired prior to 2007 had their hands totally tied by our outrageous academic restrictions. June Jones was successful initially but the wheels came off after ASU. Making any argument about coaches before June is stupid. None of them had a chance to win with what they were dealing with from the university. That is all gone now. Nice try.

Haha, just increase your contributions so we can get these kids paid. Regardless of your rants that 3/4 of the players should be immediately kicked off the team because they 'suck', it's not going to happen. Even if kids are lousy players in your eyes, they will not all be kicked off the team and their scholarships revoked unless they have grade issues or multiple failed drug tests. I'm sure there are plenty on the team that fall into those 2 categories but they also might be some of the best players on the team. Better watch out what you wish for. Just sayin

Neither, damn it! That's why I keep asking what this 'free ride' thing is that everybody keeps talking about?
