This is my section too and I didn't go in. We had some horrible teams while I was in school, but at least they were entertaining and scored. I witnessed the Baylor and North Texas road beatings in person - done my part. All about Mavs and SMU Hoop.

Not that we really have to worry, but probably best if this staff isn't recruiting or inviting potential recruits into the empty stadium. Best to let the new staff make a crazy push in the final month with the sales pitch of immediate playing time with a new regime and a new direction.

Fwiw, the high was 88 degrees on Saturday (at 4pm). Mix a few waters in with the beer and you'll be fine.

2010? Where we lost by a touchdown. I made the made the mistake of allowing my Tech brother-in-law get tickets. I was the lone blue shirt in my entire area. Loved cheering while the grumpy Tech fans sat quietly!

I was at that game as well. My roommate and I were "accidentally" sold tickets in the Tech Student section. We figured it out pretty quickly when we were walking to our seats in our blue shirts and started having stuff thrown at us. We begged our way into the 150 person SMU section on the grounds that we were too hammered to keep our mouths shut and that we would be killed.

The security guy actually had to go ask his boss if we could sit next to the SMU people to which she replied "Of Course, they'll get killed otherwise". What a lovely [deleted] place...

Someone called for a boycott a while back
and pretty much everyone said that was stupid.

I guess a lot of people didn't listen to how stupid it was...
Planned or unplanned I guess the boycott is already in full swing.
by the looks of the picture hardly anybody gives a sheet any more.
I suppose most people would rather be doing other things on Sat
400 freaking people in the stands pretty much says it all.
(who cares what quarter! 400 in any quarter is horrendous!

Hah do you realize what has happened? In order to beat the crowd at an SMU football game to avoid traffic... just stay the whole game!!!!

RGT has sought excellence in every part of SMU except two, in his 19 years, 0-38.

Football is the only sport I can think of where players feel entitled to attendance. In baseball, if a team sux and nobody goes, everybody nods their heads in understanding. What the heck makes football so different?

Wasn't the selling of beer supposed to help attendance?

I have been to every home game for the past 5 years or so and I didnt notice the attendance against memphis being much lower than normal cusa games. Maybe I am desensitized from years of 1/4 full stadiums and ucf 2013.

I was sitting near the students as well, since my spouse (Tech alum) purchased the tickets...

For better or worse football is a religion in Texas, and its sad that even when the team was better, the attendance never really matched where it could have been.
