Smart guy. And very correct.

Hawaii actually has to import manual laborers and fast food workers from elsewhere despite the unemployed being plentiful there. Just too lazy.

while I'll stipulate that it's not necessarily a good practice to make generalizations, I did have a similar experience and observation

Mississippi is not a bunch of former plantation slave owners but Arkansas is full of hillbillies.

There are about 8-10 counties in the Arkansas Delta region that if we gave them to Mississippi, the per capita income of both states would rise. Arkansas ranks very low (48-49) in many areas such as education but we can always count on Mississippi to be below.

This course will provide students with an understanding of the scientific method sufficient to detect pseudoscience in its many guises: paranormal phenomena, free-energy devices, alternative medicine, intelligent design creationism/creation science, denial of human-induced climate change, propaganda, denial of science-based medicine, misuse of data and statistics, and many others. Students will learn to think critically and creatively and to question outlandish claims, hype, propaganda, outright nonsense.

Not to get off track, but according to SMU professors ...... 'denial of human-induced climate change' is considered pseudoscience? Ironically followed closely by 'misuse of data and statistics'.

Interesting what 60K/year gets you in academia.

You might want to tell those dirt floor having hillbillies in Arkansas that prohibition was repealed many years ago. No need for the stills anymore. I guess you guys haven't figured out the moonshine will make you go crazy.

Don't forget November 22nd. We'll have a good ole hog killin' time.

What no problem with intelligent design creationism/creation science as pseudoscience. Ponyboy is gonna have a fit

I don't have a dog in the fight, or maybe I should say hog in the fight, but I think Arkie beats Ole Miss. I am sure they will if it comes down to a Bo Wallace decision at the end of play.
