out of curiosity, what purpose does this serve? the athlete can't get attendance credit since he's not actually in the class. Separately, if he doesn't care enough to go class (unless he is traveling for the game) does anyone really think he will take the time to read the notes afterwards.

Oh, F U June.

I think he is saying they go to class with the athlete not instead of the athlete.

Why does anyone believe anything June says:

"SMU tuition is $60,000 a semester"
"JJ McDermott will play in the NFL"
"This is the most talented team we've had at SMU"
"I don't think about punting"

Stephen Kaiser when I first looked at his film* (which had to be from his junior year because he was an early commit) looked like a NFL First round Draft choice"

*Kaiser hit on 43% of his passes during Junior year

This makes me sick to my stomach.

Why can't he just go away?

Or better yet, why does anybody bother listening to him anymore?

He's campaigning for a new job. Retirement isn't cheap you know.

Oh, F U June.

They go to class in their place, go to group study sessions in their place, and do the assignments for them. Schools like UT don't enforce attendance requirements like SMU. The athlete shows up for the test with answers the tutor gives them. I had friends at UT who got calls from tutors asking for notes from classes the tutor missed. The tutors would also show up to the labs and demand the answers from other students.

The normally reserved Charleston Pony calling someone an a-hole....hmm...that's a first.

As a parent I can tell everyone here, with 100% certainty that this is BS, he is a liar, and just making excuses. Every player on this team has as much access as they want or need to tutors for any class they want. If they just don't show up to class, or don't show up for tutoring then it's on them.

Interesting. Other than a few academic "surfer boy" coach guys that didn't get in. How many did we actually lose to academic issues? I can only think of 1 off the top of my head, Wilkerson?

With this sports management major now, seems like a good major for someone interested in athletics as a future. He is chock full of excuses. Bad lights, schedules, no IPF, yada yada yada. He is the Big Cry with millions of dollars.
