UCF lost bortles, ECU is in its first year, Cincy was undergoing a QB carousel, Memphis just now got better and we suck terribly/June quit. It won't be the same next year and the following years.

Marshall is on track to be the G-5 team that would get the invite in an 8 team playoff scenario. AAC would have no team deserving. Unless you meant ACC (if Ga Tech beats FSU in the title game after losing to GA in which case they would finish 10-3?)

Please check the cupcake schedule Marshall has. It looks even easier than what June had when Hawaii went 12-0. Believe Rice is the only team they have beaten that had a winning record when they played them. If Western Kentucky wins today, that will give them a chance to beat a 6-5 team. Here is the current records of their their opponents:
Miami, OH 2-9
Rhode Island 0-11
Ohio 5-6
Akron 5-6
Old Dominion 4-6
Middle Tennessee 5-5
Florida International 4-7
Florida Atlantic 3-7
Southern Miss 3-8
Rice 6-4
UAB 5-5
Western Kentucky 5-5

Clearly this is a team that belongs among the 8 best in the country.

Hard to see a G5 team being ranked in the top 10 unless they went undefeated with a non-conference schedule like we had before going undefeated in their conference. Marshall might crack the top 25 if they go undefeated. Look at all the 2 and 3 loss teams ahead of then from P5 conferences.
