And to add to the box score, the only effective drive was when Davis ran it every play. They physically were better than us everywhere on the field.

Sure the rain didn't help, but yesterday was the lowest attendance UCF has had at home this year with 31K.

After the ASU fiasco, we should have pulled the plug right there. Recruiting for another school while you were the head coach at another school clearly must have violated his contract. They could have terminated him and moved on. Problem was that if we had done that, other coaches might not have come to work for us. Now, we're in the dumpster with arguably the worst FBS team in the Country. If JJ gets another job (except maybe Hawaii where he's still a god), I'll be surprised, big time. Hopefully, we'll get a coach who can recruit and make our program a winner and then see what happens. But its going to take 3 years at least, especially if he doesn't want to burn redshirts.

He is done in any capacity in the college ranks and probably as even a scout or some administrative position in the pros.

This disaster has come fully home to roost on JJ. Maybe that explains why a buyout was not reached earlier. SMU administration knew that JJ knew what a train wreck was coming and was hoping he would leave money on the table to jump off before it hit the wall. And they certainly weren't going to pay him to jump off a year early and let it hit the next guy.... Thus saving his reputation as a coaching genius.
No, they said.... OK JJ, you want your money .... OK... You can have it but the world will know you are a fraud.

Another interpretation is that the administration, for all its posturing, is tired of big time sports and hoped a season like this one would make even the die hards jump ship. Maybe that's why all the TV coverage also.

Oh please-yes the administration wanted SMU to fail.
That way they lose even more tens of Millions of Dollars
When SMU signs its next coach to the most expensive G5 Contract will everybody finally shutup?
Please redirect your attention and criticism to where it rightfully belongs-at the feet of June Jones-the highest paid non-BCS Head Coach at the time of hiring.

There were nowhere near 31K in the stadium Saturday. Not even close.
