June Jones

Postby orguy » Tue Nov 25, 2014 7:41 am

ran across this this morning. May be old news or already posted but interesting insight to our former head coach. Scary really. Using pop psychology methods that hold no water. Interesting to think that June wanted to hire this quack as faculty in the sports management department. Perhaps a desperate attempt by June to minimize the sweat equity that goes into real recruiting.

Well, at the very least lazy June is happy it seems. Leaving an unmitigated disaster in Dallas while he is enjoying life to the hilt.

"Former SMU head coach June Jones and former New York Giants coach Jim Fassel are among the early names to keep an eye on in terms of a replacement."

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

It would never work now that Morrison is retiring. He was June's "brains" which is why I'm assigning 0-12 to June jones' career record

June might get it done if he realizes he can't win with terrible recruiting in the contiguous 48 states.
