Our core market audience is like 8000 people. It sucks. We need a new audiance, more people increase the potential. It will be difficult. We have to get away from the parkies.

Had a chat with a guy in line to check out at the store the other day. Generic middle class guy with family. No ties to Allen or skyline. Went to the game. Never been to am SMU game. When I asked why, he said "I don't know, never really think about it". There is a potential guy we are missing out on.

Or what about all the soccer loving hispanics in DFW? Why don't we fill Wescott with them? We don't even advertise to that high potential target!

Totally agree. There are tens of thousands of potential families within 7-10 miles of campus who are 'interested' but haven't been given a good reason to take the plunge. Need to make it compelling and easy for them to get in Ford.

But instead of saying DFW we need to realistically say Dallas.

I take issue with that because the northern suburbs are more possible than 1/2 of Dallas. If we fix our image, generic middle class types in Richardson are more obtainable than the yuppie yankees DINKs that have taken over lakewood. I agree that everything or toward TCU is probably a lost cause

I think couch 'em is right.

We won't draw from all over DFW, but the Richardson-Plano types (and probably even Frisco now) think they are in Dallas and they, whether right or wrong, fit our demographic.

Frisco and North Plano is certainly our demographic but I see our returns decreasing exponentially the farther we reach. IMO, marketing and outreach will yield a higher return the closer in we focus. I always love this discussion.
