OT: The Bowl Game Thread

Postby Mustangs35SMU » Sat Dec 20, 2014 3:40 pm

Figured it'd be easier to have a thread for all the bowl games this year instead of just random ones showing up.

Utah State up 7-3 on UTEP late in the 2nd quarter in the New Mexico Bowl right now.

UTEP fumbles a snap while attempting a field goal.

Utah State comes right back and misses a field goal as the half expires.

7-3 Aggies at the break.

That Aledo/Temple game was something else. Would be beyond upset if Longview lost a game like Temple did today. Heart breaking stuff.

This Utah/Colorado State game is pretty fun so far though. 21-7 Utah leading.

FYI - Dieter had 7 catches for 108 in Bolling Green's win over S. Alabama.

True, that isn't the best time spot, though the weather appears to be nice. I expected more fans from BYU since they've known they were going to play in this game for several months.

When you are trying to squeeze 35+ games into two weeks while avoiding Christmas and the NFL, your options are limited. Not everyone can play in prime time.

The problem is that there are just far, far too many bowl games. 39 bowl games is, in my opinion, about 19 too many. When you get that many bowl games, there's no way you can actually expect most of them to be even remotely well attended because the only way to squeeze them all in is to play games in the middle of a Monday when everyone is working, etc.
