Another good example!

The bottom line is at some point in the very recent past these players were all thought to have more talent than the vast majority of our roster, so why not take a chance if you can make it work?

that WR from Va Tech ended up playing a role by end of season, so I'd consider that a win as well.

As bad as the Texas offense was, especially the line and receiving corp...how bad must a guy be if he couldn't break into that lineup unless he was a true freshman or injured. Remember how bad Junes offense was most of the time yet SMU receivers are making NFL rosters and contributing while those from Ut , AGs , TCu and TT are not although they were highly rated out of high school.

Symanski (sp) was a good kicker from A&M. We had an A&M transfer LB (albeit a preffered walkon there due to family ties) that was All CUSA on the first Hawaii Bowl team

RB from Tech during PB era, Bust (Mulin????)

FWIW, I'd probably take all these Horns, subject to Mrydel approval of course.

If a guy can potentially help take a chance. BU does it and so does TCU. Nebraska transfer Aaron Green has been huge for the frogs since Catalon went down and BU has gotten tons of mileage out of transfers the last few seasons.

If a guy washes out so what? It's not like most of those freshman recruits at the end of the wish list are going to make a splash in 2015.

plus I'd rather lose a 2 year gamble than a 4 year gamble. Especially in BB with such limited scholarships there is an argument that you can win by having greater numbers in your upperclasses-ie Senior and Juniors because they are more mature, physically strong men rather than high school boys. Rule does not apply to Kentucky but most every one else
