"The alumni base has an average age of 32," said Zack Lassiter, a senior associate athletic director at the school. "So they're extremely young and are more likely to embrace different things."
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

I hope it rains every single home game for them this year just so the idea gets destroyed.

Maybe if they included women's beach volley ball matches during halftime. 8)
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I wish SMU was willing to experiment with novel ideas to make the games more fun. Going to Ford can be like going to mass.

I've long maintained that the area underneath the scoreboard and above the grassy area should be some kind of tailgating tent like The Boulevard. You could watch other games there, grab a beer, hit up the food trucks, etc. Instead of having it be an area to watch a bunch of six year olds roll down a hill let's make that area a full sports bar. Why not?

It used to be. Not enough to support it evidently.

Well, it was a great big tent. Kind of hard to miss. Had a nice patio where you could sit and watch the game. If I recall there was a small band for entertainment inside pregame. Air conditioned. Just had to be a Mustang Club member.
