My pleasure. I grew up as a kid in Texarkana & while in elementary & jr high, we came over for our one game a year. Arrived in the morning & left at night. Loved it!!!
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Back to Pinky...he was tough as nails and still was at the time of that Varsity-Alumni game. He has been gone now 25 years, and he was a terrific, fun, and friendly guy.

(And thank you, Mrydel, for your very nice comments.)

He separated from his wife, who moved to CA with his kids (my friends), and he continued to coach our football team even without his son. It was a sad time when he passed.
Those pictures are awesome and remind me of how great a guy he was. He taught us to be tough and, more importantly, stressed playing with 'poise.'

From his college bio:

defensive line coach Archie McDaniel calls him one of the most coachable players McDaniel has ever dealt with

There you go. Makes sense.
