Homecoming or parents? I would think parents, that's awfully early for homecoming.

Rick Hart tweeted that it is Homecoming.

Might as well schedule a directional school for an easy win on homecoming.

Their new coach beat Florida International (C-USA team) in 2013 and 2014.

Have the Navy game put onto my calendar. Can't believe it will be 5 years since we attended when my daughter was a senior in high school waiting on her decision from her first choice of SMU.

Look at that schedule after week 2.

Don't care how excited us diehards are about CM, they better come up with some marketing plan or we won't average over 14,000 for the rest of the season.

That will impact recruiting, gotta do something.

It's hard for me to believe that attendance won't be terrible this year no matter what they do. It's a defeatist attitude, I know, but I just don't see a real uptick in attendance as realistic until we start winning something. Here's hoping they have something creative up their sleeves...

It's official - James Madison will be the opponent on 9/26.

Actually I can. I based that on Morris and his willingness getting in front as many people as possible to promote SMU football. I think he could sell ice to Eskimos

Talk about random as hell.

Well, now how random was it? Yes, we are excited, and you might think twice about taking this game too lightly. We had a horrible schedule before this, as in few worthy opponents, now we are juiced.

You must have known something as you have talked about it for 3-5 months

Why not? A rare trip to Texas vs. an FBS school their think they'll have a shot at. We can talk about CM and the changes all we want, but the rest of the college football world sees 1-11 and their opinion won't change until we post a demonstrably better record.

Still pretty damn random.

We're coming off the worst season in the history of our program (even despite not going 0-12) though, don't see how it is even possible for us to take a single team "too lightly."
