Yeah, my daughters were really looking forward to seeing the real one. I told them that it must have been too hot for him/her. (then my 8 yo rattles off all these peruna factoids she read about - the first one being killed on halloween when it ran out into traffic, the one who killed the other school's real mascot, etc - we didn't visit the shrine I completely forgot).

I had more fun looking at where they thing was going than I did watching what was actually happening on the field.

I thought I saw Peruna next to the inflatables on the south side near the food truck area.

Real Peruna was next to the tent near inflatable, yes.

I saw him under a tent next to the bookstore area - he was there during the game, but not on the field.

Well I stand corrected. I was assuming he would be on the field, but it makes sense he was up there for the kids.

That for me makes it a A+ for presentation.

Priorities in the right place...this tells me more about the man than any football scheme would.

WINNER.

Did he not know when his daughter's prom was? Doesn't he have complete control over the date of this game? Family first and all, but I'm going to stop short of applauding the move; seems like he screwed up. This is like a head chef leaving the opening night his own restaurant early because he planned it on his wedding anniversary.

People are massively over dramatizing this. It's a spring game. Sure, it was his first here but, at the end of the day, it's a spring game.

As head coach, there's actually very little that he would get out of being there that he can't get from watching the film. He got all the 'networking' stuff done before the spring game even started so who really cares that he left early to catch a flight?

At the end of the day, his performance is not going to be judged based on whether he was there for the entirety of his first spring game... his performance is going to be judged based on how many real games he wins, how many bowl games he gets to, and whether he helps get our program into a P5 conference.

Also, as Stallion said somewhere else, great opportunity to have Craddock call plays, run the offense, and evaluate him. He's never done it before.
