This entire thread is a great example of off season boredom. Ready to get our season rolling so we can stop eating our own.

Let me sum it up for all. New stuff recruits like and new coach asked for = good.

Bottom line is HS recruits were coming in and noticing that their HS's had more up to date weight room equipment which stifles recruiting big time. Also safety features on heavy lifting stations have been added/changed in the last 15 years, so SMU had to make those changes first as well.

Bingo, why make recruitng any harder than it is already, donors were ready to commit to a solution so it got done.
