Could be increasing. Here's hoping Brady gets 6 games or more for cheating. GG would be the backup QB at this point - one training camp injury away from the Super Bowl Champion Patriots starting QB...

My prediction, 2 regular season games, team gets a fine of a $100K and hopefully GG has a great training camp/preseason and gets a few regular season snaps during the 2 game suspension.

I was thinking 2 games also. Mainly because he would not give them his cell phone so they could see the nude pictures of his wife.

His current wife or his prior pregnant & abandoned wife?

Well Greg Hardy was basically suspended a season and a half for allegations so who knows what Tommy boy will get.

Bill Belicheat should easily be suspended for the year based upon the fact that:
1) it is 95-100% certain that the balls were tampered with;
2) It is 100% certain that a Pats employees took the game balls when he shouldn't have; and
2) took them into the bathroom (where he almost certainly deflated them).

Sean Payton didn't know, but they suspended him for a year. Belicheat should get the same treatment.

As for Brady:
1) 2 games based upon the deflation (which he either knew about or inspired); and
2) 2 games for not cooperating.

It will be interesting to see what they do with such light evidence. "Not cooperating" from what I heard is not true. Didn't they leave out from the report most of his day of Q&A on the issue? Didn't they also ask for his personal cell phone sans a warrant? Stuff I have read undermines that report so interesting it will be.

Since they are a private entity, they can never obtain an warrant to obtain evidence. (In litigation, they can issue a subpoena.)

BUT, everyone in the league is expected to cooperate with investigations, to hand over "evidence" upon request, and to provide truthful evidence to the league's investigators. Cooperation is part of "membership." If you don't cooperate, the league can and will make the punishment more severe -> see A-Rod's punishment by MLB.

Without any damning evidence that may or may not exist on his phone they can't say he did it for sure. I guess they can say F you and give him a couple games. Anything more then he might have a case for a counter suit because there's no beyond reasonable doubt he did anything. I'd like to see a policy/contract that says someone has to give up personal property as evidence though. Genuinely curious if that exists. There's a difference between "expected" and "contractually obligated."

Beyond a reasonable doubt is only relevant in a criminal trial. In civil matters, the normal burden of proof is "Preponderance of the Evidence" which is basically the "more likely than not" standard used in the report.

As to what constitutes "cooperation," I am skeptical that the league can force someone to hand over the private phone records. But, the NFL Players Union negotiated a horrible CBA and appears to have given the NFL the right to do pretty much anything it pleases including making rules up after the fact.
