Well we've got Michigan on the docket coming in 2018 in Ann Arbor. So a non-conference schedule of UNT, TCU, and Michigan isn't too shabby.

Does referencing the fact that they have been to 5 straight bowls and typically play the same difficulty of schedule as us and have changed coaches 5 out of the last 6 years merit anything. You do realize that the other schools in the country did not just give up and quit recruiting when we hired Morris don't you?

Define "recruiting" because whatever on earth is happening lately is not what I am used to seeing out of an SMU staff.

The year after they did the number on SMU they did the damdam on the aggies. They are always ready to go.

Arkansas State has the #97 class in the nation right now according to 247. As long as Chad Morris is our coach I won't sweat a match-up with Natural Lite when we'll be rolling out a team full of his recruits.

I think this is a good thing. We need easier non-conference. JJ was right about that. TCU, Baylor and A&M is not the way to success.

And this is a nice road trip one year.

Jonesboro sucks. But by 2019 I fully expect SMU to be a Top 20 program so hopefully we will travel well regardless of the destination.

I'd like to see Rice back on the schedule. Rice Village was pretty fun last time. Plus they have really improved the last couple of years.

Being 97 is easy when you only have 2 committed. They will get a lot late from in state kids that are hoping for Arkansas and do not make the cut. They usually get some good ones out of Tennessee too after UT has their class filled.

Speaking of few commits, look at Montgomery at Tulsa. 1 commit to date.

Not thrilled with a home/home with a Sun Belt team, but what can you do.
