I guess this UH rivalry is getting real

Postby LA_Mustang » Tue Jun 16, 2015 8:44 pm

Almost every commit either schools gets comes down to SMU/UH. This is fun.

Rivalry rankings
1. TCU
2. Houston

Yep.

We need it to be as big of a rivalry as possible.

It creates a lot of attention for both schools for recruits, an "are you going UH or SMU?" decision and helps push out other schools.

I hope our class is better obviously. But good for recruiting and if we are as tied together in the eyes of P5 conferences as some people have said than this just helps that.

SMU now has more 3+ Stars than UH on Scout

SMU 6
UH 5

On the much more restrictive Rivals its

UH 4
SMU 3

the big difference is the superstud brother of a current Houston Cougar which is a big advantage

Check that SMU now has 7 3* on Scout as Eric Sutton was just upgraded to 3*

This thing may just blossom into something special. AAC needs to schedule UH SMU wisely.. 9-0 SMU vs 8-1 UH or vice versa in a couple years would garner some attention

How many recruits has SMU snagged so far?

Good work Stallion.

UH commits with SMU offer:
King
Glasgow
Lee
Wooten
Sells -- only commit outside greater Houston

Oliver (5* not offered by SMU)
Elliott (4* not offered by SMU)
M. Johnson (3* not offered by SMU)
Rosette (2* not offered by SMU; UTSA only other offer before he committed in April)
