During Jones tenure only second summer session paid but yet the players had to pay their own way to stay in Dallas and work out. Also those who had graduated but still had eligilbility had to pay their way for the entire summer and then take Masters courses during fall/spring. Really put our players at a disadvantage compared to others. On the other hand those SMU hours aren't cheap. Dropping courses was a waste of money.

Not sure about JJ comments. I know of a player or two who had graduated with a year left ... got both their summer sessions paid for & housing leading into their last year (first year grad school).
