I haven't seen this on the board yet and apologize if it has been posted. Warning - Another Holland article.

Hope Spencer shows us the goods this year.
We need help on the line and it looks like the coaches are loading up.

Wish we could have back filled with a JUCO or two.

Can't wait for football.

EJ has been making some good blogs on SMU. Glad he is doing so. Good pub for SMU.

Other than putting a player on the depth chart no longer at SMU, good article.

His article and the Scout article on DE, which coincidentally came out at the same time, both listed a player who isn't on the SMU roster, and both of them hype Biggins.

Oh, and both of them don't mention Lawler who was the most impressive player on the line in the spring. That guy is a beast and will get a lot of PT. He may force Wood inside to stay...

I saw on the recruiting board we were getting a D-Tackle transfer from South Carolina...I don't know if he was immediately eligible or if that is even a done deal, but thought it worth mentioning.

You have no room to criticize anybody looking back at how bad your suck up to JJ and Mason analysis was on players. And if anyone read the practice reports last year you would have thought SMU was going to win the conference title. That did not happen as we saw.

Going to be harder to get JUCO's now as Stallion has mentioned.

harder but not impossible. The new rules basically funnel more kids into the JUCO direction so they may have even more quality players starting in about 3 years

The USC transfer is good to go. Yes, he is eligible this year (and the next). My own opinion is that our defense will improve this year. Our defensive backfield is better than most believe, it was just we never put pressure on the opposing QB's. I continue to have concern about our offense-particularly our line and running backs, and if our starting QB goes down, as we haven't seen a backup surface, we could really be in trouble.

This kid was an SEC player. And a second or third string SEC DT will probably have a chance to start for any AAC team. Especially on that was 1-11. This is a good get for Coach Morris.

Really need to land the 320lb Wallace kid from Desoto. An unmovable object with explosion.

Exactly what Mathis was brought here to do. Git Er Done!

We got at least 6-7 great to very good options for Defensive Line recruiting right now-we should be able to add some quality there. Tough position to recruit but we've got numbers. This is the position to watch in closing the class-there are other super studs looking at us at other positions but this is the biggest area of need

Coach Mathis has already done a outstanding job even if he does not land another player. Wallace is from Skyline not Desoto and I am not too sure Mathis is the lead recruiter for Wallace. I believe Coach Wyatt is the lead recruit for Wallace. Wallace is good but if we can get the kid from Amarillo I think that would be even better.
