Just over 2 weeks, until the home opener against the 4th ranked Baylor Bears. Usually we have 25 pages of ticket sales talk etc.. .Unless I've missed it, I haven't seen a single mention of sales updates or attendance predictions. Pony Up!!!

As I said elsewhere, if we score 27 points, I do not care what the final score is. I want to see we have the ability to score even if against their 3rd team.

I hope CM won't take out the first team like June used to do in these games. Hopefully SMU will play this game and every other game as if it were the Rose Bowl and not a body bag game.

This a million times over. The players and everyone watching need to see SMU is on the right track. 7 scoreless quarters last year to start the season was painful. Clearly players have bought into what HCCM is selling and putting points on the board would help further that, and show a real tangible change. Don't forget players are actually hitting each other and conditioning #uptempo before this game. I know SMU lacks depth but it would also be good to not see a defense that looks completely gassed after the game has barely started. Playing Baylor should help prepare the team to leave scorched Earth against UNT.

Going to have to average more than 1.7 yards per carry or whatever it was last year in this run first offense.

I believe attendance will be very good at least for the first 2 home games.

I think SMU attendance will be less than expected. For Baylor I am having a very hard time finding others to sit through the "slaughter". For other games, there is a lot more of "fool me once shame on me" than I would have expected after buying in on June.

The luncheon was packed today. If that is any indication, I think we will see a lot of folks in the stadium who bailed for the last two seasons because of discontent with June.
