End zone GA

I got four endzone GA tickets and am taking my kid and two Parkies. Do you need to stake your spot pretty early? Expect to stand the whole game or do most sit? You can't take blankets in, right? With a 75 pt over/under, there should be a lot of excitement in the endzones.

I did not know there was an end zone GA. Is that the grassy knoll?

Correct. It is fire hill. All GA. Sit anywhere you can.

We really need to crack down on that.

The fire was one of my three most memorable games at SMU in the last decade. Navy, right? Plus the ranked win over TCU and the ice bowl vs. UCF.

Yes, it's a very good thing but I believe all faculty/staff tickets were designated for the grassy knoll for this game. I'd expect a sell out, and if enough people are sitting in the end zone, there should be fewer rolling kids. Bounce houses again by the MC tent?

I can't believe the school hasn't installed pads on the concrete wall at the bottom of the hill. Seems like just a matter of time until some kid busts his head open on that thing.

There is going to be a new tent for the students next to the SE end of the stadium I believe. It will be interesting to see if it helps get them in and helps them hang around.

Yeah, put the cuffs on and escort them out! Turn more fans off. Kids are usually about the only ones on the hill in the second half of most games....roll till your dizzy kids.

Have we found out what's supposed to be in this student tent? Keeps getting mentioned, but other than sorority girls in bikinis and/or free booze, I'm not sure what would be there to keep their attention.

First game of new coaching era = strong odds that the grassy knoll will catch on fire.

If you don't get burned, there's a good chance that you'll have a serious knee injury due to a kid rolling into you.

After Baylor kicks a PAT, the football may hit you while you're not looking and cause a concussion or blind you if it hits you in the eye.

Dallas is also suffering from earthquakes now - so there's always that to worry about. The ground on the knoll may split open.

Just be prepared for anything that may come your way. So glad that I spent a few extra dollars for a seat in the stands.

That was some of last season's best entertainment. It certainly wasn't the action on the field.

At least we don't have to worry about tearing down the goal post if we win!

Definitely have. Not sure about anything serious, but I've seen at least one kid bleeding and being looked at by an EMT.
