Horn Fans Have Chad Envy

Postby Topper » Fri Oct 02, 2015 7:55 pm

If someone already posted this I missed it. The Horns board has been conducting a poll on who should replace Strong. They may have taken it down, but when I saw it earlier today Chad was the top choice with almost 20% followed by Tom Herman with 15% and Les Miles not far behind Herman.

I thought they were aimed at Chip Kelly.

Saban - nope
Harbaugh - no thanks
gruden - naw

I'm sure they'll get their first choice this time though

They're delusional. Strong has a mess to sort through before making them nationally competitive. If they fire him after two years what message does that send to prospective coaches?

They can have all of the polls they want. Strong is not going anywhere for several more years - if at all.

Strong supported AD Patterson's ouster, primarily because Patterson was so stingy. But bringing in a new AD may have guaranteed Strong one more year to clean up the "mess" the UT faithful attribute to Mack Brown. SMU would love to have the roster associated with this "mess." They had the # 3, # 24 and #2 recruiting classes in the nation in 2011, 2012, 2013.

That they don't accept mediocrity? If we had sent that message back in 2011 we'd be a Top 25 program right now.
