Interior of O line got pushed around

Postby Rebel10 » Sat Oct 03, 2015 6:07 pm

8 sacks. The D line got pushed a bit as well but not as bad as the O line.

Briggs didn't play much once again. 255 pound ish left tackle is tough

Left tackle wasn't the problem. The announcers even noted how the interior on the O line was getting pushed around. Not the best game for Lasecki and the guards.

yeah that's how I saw it. Defense actually tackled better but ECU just decided to put some bodies on our defense and we just aren't good enough to stop the basics. To be far the Offense only had a handful of First Downs and maybe 80 yards in final 40 minutes-that puts a lot of pressure on your defense

You are way too kind, they played very poorly. By the 4th quarter I wanted to see what the backups could do.

Haha, agreed! I mean heck I wish they just ask the fans if they wanted to play at that point.

There were a few personel changes. Injury issues?

O line really got pushed around. At the same time, they appeared to look much worse with the 8 sacks of Davis; however, on most of those sacks Davis had abandon the pocket with the O line pushing people right into Davis to create a pocket. No question we are simply not big enough, strong enough or sufficiently athletic to compete against moderate to good competition.

Natour had an injury and Hyder was sick during the week. Gotta get healthy. we seemed to overcome one injury on the line (McCarty), but losing too much depth now. Seems like we left alot on the the field in that TCU game. Need the off week i think.

Exactly right. Thanks to the last coaching staff. These coaches are trying everything they can but many of these kids aren't really D-1 quality...they are trying, give them that.

It will be an interesting off season not matter how the rest of this season turns out.
