Guy and Dolls is a great show, BUT, people you have got to understand that we are doing WAY more than last year.
We can hang with anyone for a half. We don't have a complete team. We had two maybe three years of signing SPARES. Not all but most.
The D-Line got push until the rest of the line had to play. We have NO DEPTH. Snarky comment to the one that shall not be named - insert here....
No puffed up, Sad at another loss, but look at what JMU had and what we play with in D1.
HCCM and staff can turn this around. With Smart, Local kids that want a real education, not a North Carolina bogus certificate.
Peace out.

Not discouraged. We have the right staff. Hope we can rally our folks to be worth them when the time comes.

Halftime scores have been encouraging:
Baylor 28 SMU 21 TCU 28 SMU 17 SMU 23 ECU 21
Need more depth and players with a 60 minute tank.

Agree with you but but you might want to refrain from commenting on another schools academic fraud. Just sayin'.

A recruiting objective several times stated by BUS in times past - that you need to have enough BIGS in every recruiting class to anchor both the DL and OL - has come to mind often this year and will again.

Helping a player in a class and going a little too far is a violation. 15 years of fraud having bogus degrees (see students suing school) all directed by AD. No comparison. You and I know the foundation of this is politics.
Love my Mustangs and we need BIG MEN. Lots of BIG MEN.

If you look up overreacting in the dictionary, you'll see "PonyFans" listed under the synonyms.
The only reason we're having this conversation is because the Ponies played great against two Top-5 teams and rolled UNT in the second half. Fans realized the the cupboard wasn't quite bare with the play of Mustangs like Sutton. The team seems to be basically on the trajectory most PonyFans predicted before the season started.
After a couple of great performances, now teams have tape on us. Ruffin McNeill figured out that double teaming Sutton was probably a wise idea. We lost a handful of players on D for various reasons. We lost our starting left guard on a paper thin OL, and so ECU (presumably benefitting from a well-established S&C program) beat us in the trenches.
I have long held the belief that we have some players on this team. Problem in my mind is that June never really seemed to recruit by need. I'm sure I'm oversimplifying, but it seems to me that if you have 5 OLs and 4 DLs, you need to take at least that many in EVERY class. And as we all know there were a couple of years where Jones recruited only a couple of linemen so that he could load the roster with 5-foot slot receivers. BUS is right, we need monsters, and we need to feed and train them.
