VT lost to ECU. I explained how ECU can get players that we can't get because of their academic standards etc (walk ons and JUCO's). They beat a well coached Bud Foster defense but somehow you are suggesting that SMU has just as much or more talent than ECU. Ridiculous. You could see the difference in athleticism on the field.

Go back and watch the difference in defensive execution when their passing QB was in the game versus the running QB. We certainly aren't where we want to be on defense skill wise, but we blow assignments all over the place, no doubt about it.

So their at-risk academic walk-ons are more talented than our guys? Not sure how many takers you'll get for that theory.

When we were up 23-7 I'm sure you didn't notice a thing about how much more talented and speedy they supposedly were. Then ONE guy comes into the game, and they all suddenly speed up, and we suddenly slow down. Talk about ridiculous

The ECU offense linemen were obviously better run blockers as they were dominating the line of scrimmage when they wen tot a run oriented offense. We were shut out on offense in the second half. I guess that had to do with missed assignments as well and nothing to do with the offensive line getting dominated by the ECU D line.
