I'll be flipping between the two (Rangers and Mustangs). My only hope is the players will play like there's nothing to lose like they did against Baylor and TCU and look good versus teams where we are expected to win or have a chance at winning. I just really hope we beat one or two more teams for this season.

All I want to see is the Defense show improvement on assignment football, i.e. being in the right gap or on the right receiver, and the offense to put together 4 full quarters of consistent play. I want this game to be close going into the 4th...that was probably the most disappointing fact of the Memphis game, not being able to be within 10 points at the start of the 4th.

I think the team has been doing fine at assignment football. They just have been going up against better players.

Gigantic running lanes up front, and WR's running free all over the secondary suggests otherwise.

I'm expecting (or should I say hoping) we will be competitive at least for the 1st half of this one, but will be nice to have playoff baseball to fall back on if it gets ugly early.

VT lost to ECU. I explained how ECU can get players that we can't get because of their academic standards etc (walk ons and JUCO's). They beat a well coached Bud Foster defense but somehow you are suggesting that SMU has just as much or more talent than ECU. Ridiculous. You could see the difference in athleticism on the field.
