Mustangs vs. Mustangs

Postby PonyPride » Sun Oct 04, 2015 5:03 pm

When is the last time the NFL had THREE games on the same day with Mustangs on both rosters?

Denver (Emmanuel Sanders) vs. Minnesota (Zach Line)
Green Bay (Chris Banjo) vs. San Francisco (Kenneth Acker)
Dallas (Cole Beasley) vs. New Orleans (Thomas Morstead)

And if I'm not mistaken, four were starters (Sanders, Beasley, Acker, and Morstead).

I was at the Saints game against the Cowboys. Beasley looked very good. Morestead got injured. Still, good to see Mustangs producing at the NFL level.

All Bennett and JJ recruits. Let's hope Morris can continue populating NFL rosters with former SMU greats

Morstead punted to Beasley.

Who has the time to look up the last time two Mustangs were on opposite ends of an NFL play? (Mustang intercepts a Mustang, Mustang recovers a Mustang's fumble, etc.) I would guess the closest would be if Bryan McCann ever tackled Emmanuel Sanders, or if Kelvin Beachum blocked Margus Hunt, etc.

What has happened to Margus? Watched the Cincy game on Sunday and never saw his number in the game or on the bench.
