SMU Football under investigation

Following tonight's Monday Night Football matchup between Seattle and Detroit, the NCAA has released a statement that they are investigating SMU football for it's role in forcing the game officials to screw up another call to end a game. Sources close to the investigation, who asked to remain unnamed, suggested officials also were certain that Larry Brown new about this the entire time.

Then again most teams in the SWC were rampantly cheating in the 80s and not all had the results to show for it.

All but Rice were cheating in the 60s. When Hayden Fryre took the reigns at SMU he provided the SWC with at least 14 blatant examples involving most of the other SWC schools as it affected offers to his class of 63 recruits. For opening his mouth, SMU got hit with a bunch of sanctions and probation. Shut up and cheat was the way things were done.
