SMU was 44-323 rushing with 6 TDs
- Season-high 323 rushing yards (was 53-273 rushing vs. North Texas in 31-13 win 9/12/15)
- Season-high 6 rushing TDs (was 5 vs. James Madison 9/26/15)
- Matt Davis was 16-156 w/ 1 TD and Xavier Jones was 17-117 w/ 3 TDs; first time with multiple 100-yard rushers since Tulsa 11/23/2002 (Keylon Kincade 105 & Kris Briggs 198)

SMU led 35-7 at halftime (+28), its largest lead at halftime since a 31-3 (+28) advantage in a 34-29 win a Memphis 10/19/2013

Zach Wood blocked a 40-yard FG attempt that was returned 66 yards by R.C. Cox for a Touchdown
- First FG block returned for a TD by SMU since 9/8/2012 vs. Stephen F Austin (Aaron Davis block returned 56 yards by Kenneth Acker)
- SMU’s 4th blocked kick in the past 5 games
- Wood’s 3rd blocked kick this season (2 PATs, 1 FG) and 4th of his career (3 PATs, 1 FG)

SMU had an 7-play 99-yard drive (1 yard TD run by Prescott Line at 11:55 4th QTR), SMU’s first 99-yard drive since a 12-play 99-yard drive at UTEP 11/6/2010

SMU had 3 TD drives of 90-plus yards

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

R.C. Cox (#32, LB) - Had a 66 yard blocked FG return for a TD (first TD of his career), also had 3 tackles and 2 QB hurries

Matt Davis (#4, QB)
- Was 17-24-165 passing plus 16-156 rushing with 1 TD
- Now has 26 total TDs (16 pass/10 rush), which is 6th in a season at SMU
- This is his 4th 100-yard rushing game this season and 6th of his career, both are SMU records
- 2973 yards of total offense this season (2235 passing/738 rushing), which is 7th at SMU
o 4441 career yards of total offense (3090 passing/1351 rushing), which is 10th at SMU
- Has 738 rushing yards this season, which ranks 2nd at SMU in a season by a quarterback (Ricky Wesson 855 in 1974)
o Now has 1351 rushing yards for his career, which ranks 3rd at SMU by a quarterback

Justin Lawler (#99, DE) – Had 6 tackles with 1.0 TFL, has 9.0 TFLs on the season

Xavier Jones (#10, RB)
- 17-117 rushing with 3 TDs (yards and TDs are career highs)
- His 10 rushing TDs this season are a new SMU freshman record
- First SMU player with 3 rushing TDs since Zach Line had 3 rushing TDs vs. Tulsa 11/24/2012
- First 100-yard rushing game for an SMU RB since Zach Line was 23-127 with 1 TD vs. Memphis 10/27/2012 (W, 44-13)
- Was 3-44 receiving (career high for yards)

Darius Joseph (#18, WR) - Was 1-30 receiving; has 174 career receptions, which is 8th |at SMU

Zelt Minor (#92, DE) – 3 tackles with a career-high 2.0 TFLs and a career-high tying 1.0 sack

Deion Sanders, Jr. (#21, KR/DB)
- Was 1-12 on kickoff returns
- Now has 1468 career KOR yards, which ranks 4th at SMU
- Now has 68 kickoff returns, which ranks 5th at SMU

Braeden West (#6, RB) - 3-18 rushing with 1 TD, his 2nd rushing TD of the season; also 3-23 receiving

Zach Wood (#90, DT)
- Had a blocked FG that was retuned for TD; his 3rd block this season (2 PATs FG), 4th of his career (3 PAT, FG)
- Had 4 tackles and 1.0 sack (3.5 sacks on the season and 9.0 for his career)

Ced Lancaster (No. 3 or was that Kevin Johnson returning from injury?) and Deion Sanders (No. 21) were playing CB on a couple of series-I think No. 3 played 3 series-I watched him on several routes and he maintained tight coverage the times I focused on him. Lancaster was a great cover CB in high school

McNew got schooled last nite-in particular he missed a big tackle in the hole which led to a long run

No. 3 was Ced Lancaster according to Game Participation-Kevin Johnson still hasn't played since injury-hopefully gets a medical redshirt

Minor showed flashes last nite with 3 Tackles, 2 TFL and a sack. Still not sure if its been his reported injury this year or coaching decision. Seems like you get two different versions-maybe both

It was Lancaster. Johnson has not played since his injury.
