I wonder what Miles would do without all that talent.

Probably do quite well compared to most. Just witness his days at Oklahoma State. He had some talent to work with but hardly anything on the level of an LSU yet achieved great things for a program that was trying to recover from heavy NCAA sanctions handed down during the Jones years. Miles found a way to beat some very powerful and highly talented OU teams in 01 and 02 while simultaneously increasing the the profile of that particular program nationally.

Unfortunately for Miles expectations are far from realistic in Baton Rouge. Miles will not be unemployed for long and its highly likely that LSU continues to struggle against Alabama in the immediate future regardless of who their new coach is. Just because they hire some Uber coach from another big program guarantees LSU nothing. Witness what happened to Nebraska (Callahan), Tennessee (Dooley) and Miami (Shannon).

While Miles was not conservative on offense at OSU he seems to have gone conservative at LSU. Also, he has not really developed a QB for the most part at LSU. If he gets another job and goes conservative on offense again he may not do very well because he may not have the talent to carry him through.

but we are so well prepared for 2017 its could be a big advantage even if we don't flip any one in 2016. I'm happy to report that SMU is all over the Class of 2017 which saves me much time in not having to calculate and explain why the SMU Football Staff is so incompetent

Some P5 schools are going to have a lot of fun picking that class apart.
