Any room for some UH commits to flip to SMU if and when Coach Herman leaves for the South Carolina job? Seen to recall it came down to SMU vs UH for some of them.

Herman had been the school's top choice to replace Steve Spurrier, sources said, and third-party discussions had been extensive. But Herman has withdrawn his name from consideration, according to sources.

Herman and Fuente staying are good for the league. Bodes well for the future of the AAC...which we need to account for until/if we ever move up.

Just because Herman has turned down USC doesn't mean that he's staying at Houston. And there are multiple reports that have Fuente going to Virginia Tech. Frankly, Memphis is two steps away - losing Fuente and Paxton - from being back to square one.
