Going back to one of the earlier comments in the thread... I asked a coach tonight who of the redshirted players is ready "right now" and is going to show up big in the spring.

Without hesitation, the answer was Ben Hicks.

I just can't see Morris running his offense without a highly talented QB.

My gut feel is we did not loose much. Rivals has down graded him from 3 to 2*
and the other two qb Memphis signed are higher rated than he is.

To say his offense cannot run without a highly talented qb would be discrediting the fact that the offense scored 27ppg last year without one and if that one position were aonimportant, I don't think they'd waste so much time recruiting all of the silly little receiver and offensive line types.

Ha Ha, tell that to the Cowboys this year! At least that is what they are going to sell to the buying public next year. I agree, it should not make or break a team, but many times it does. Remains to be seen if it is an opportunity lost, but no use crying over someone who is gone. Move on and find someone else.

Actually other the the backup qb situation for the cowboys was a glading problem at receiver..when dez is not on the field the receiver production suffered drastically. Not one of those other WRs in the line up is a go to at all. They are good pieces to complement and certainly have their roles but dez was really the only one who could take the top off the defenses.

But I digress

That is exactly who popped in my head as a comparison, after all of the recent hijinks.
