Well this ploy is working because that is the ONLY reason they are at the front of the line and it is going to get them in the Big 12. FedEx as the title sponsor of the Big 12 championship for the next 20 years and suddenly Memphis is the belle of the ball.

Indeed we do. After reading Jim Schutze in this week's Observer "Hunt Says Jump", I would say Ray Hunt could easily match any FedEx offer and raise them a few million kilowatts. Let Trustee Ray write the check to get SMU in with the in crowd. The ratepayers could have a fee on their monthly bill that designates their contribution to the sponsorship of the Big XII title game.
