Chad just got more excited about his Aggie job, as they just landed a Deshaun Watson clone, highly rated dual threat QB Kellen Mond.

The poster forgot to mention that the BOR at Baylor read the report and is the group that has denied transparency... ex-regent opinions are that the report names several members of the BOR as involved in the cover-ups. The alumni association is demanding transparency and the full release of the reports, but they have been refused because of the implications and potential lawsuits.

The settlement with Briles is hush money, of course.

They had a really hard time finding a interim coach. Nobody currently coaching threw their hat in the ring because of all the uncertainty, regardless of the talent that is there. Singletary offered his services, but they don't want a Baylor alum going down with the ship. They also knew they had to have an outsider with a clean record. Everyone at the university and within the alumni leadership is just waiting for the other shoe to drop right now. THe movement over there still hasn't completed....

Exactly. By the time PSU replaced Paterno, the "worst case" consequences to the program were essentially known (and the penalties were later reduced).
